WINTER SOLSTICE 2001.
This Solstice occurs between a Solar Eclipse (Dec. 14th) and a Lunar Eclipse (Dec. 30th). The crescent Moon in Pisces is gaining in light and in motion, she separates from a recent Mars conjunction. A mutable T-square involving Mars, Pluto and Saturn is tightening. Mercury is in very tight sextile to Mars (this forms a finger of fate with the rising degree at London). Mutable energy predominates this chart. All of the planets are bound in aspect. There are a multitude of levels and complexities at work here, at this moment. Mars applies in hard mutable waning square to Saturn, and is in watery waning trine to Jupiter. Mercury opposes Jupiter in negative signs. Saturn in waxing air trine to Neptune the dominating planetary aspect in the following few months. Mars applies in waxing mutable square Pluto. Uranus is on the Mars Neptune midpoint. The Moon applies to the Sun Saturn midpoint.
There is great movement in this chart. The moment is flux. There is acceleration, sublimation, forthrightness. There is an overheating quality, simultaneously there is both thunder and beauty. At the moment of Solstice, the Capricorn Ingress, the Sun and Venus are at lower culmination in Afghanistan. The Moon sets over Iran. Neptune culminates as New York. Jupiter culminates over Nepal and India. Leo rises at London. Mars rises at San Franscico.
The Capricorn Ingress sets the scene for the year ahead. This one is both sublime and explosive. There is peace but it is threatened. The time is ripe for building. Affairs, prospects and actions for both good and for ill are 'on the up'.
