Here is the Sunrise chart for Caracas on the first day of the terrible floods (inner chart) which reportedly killed more than 20000 people in December 1999.
It is set against the Venezuelan independence proclamation chart for 1811.
Looking at the sunrise chart a little closer we are immediately struck by the Mars Uranus conjunction in a fixed cross square Saturn, Venus and the moons node. The Mars Uranus conjunction is exactly square the position of Uranus in the independence. The Venus Saturn opposition is the tightest aspect. The moon in Pisces is at first quarter.
What a striking planetary alignment, an apt decription of the 'flash floods' description as news of this tragedy filtered around the world.
