THE UK 1801 National Astrological chart.
Update April 2001
For the last year the progressed Moon in this chart has been in Scorpio, very fitting for a nation in the throws of a seemingly relentless series of 'mishaps' including Fuel crisis, floods, transport and now the slaughter of millions of farm animals in an effort to beat Foot and Mouth disease. The Moon in Scorpio can be regarded as a bit of a battlefield. Uranus by transit is opposite the UK natal Saturn for most of the year 2001. This adds a shattering effect to structures and institutions. The progressed Moon is waxing past first quarter, conjunct progressed Neptune in July 2001, and is this year at one arm of a Fixed Cross of secondary and natal planetary positions.
The story line of this nation is (April 2001) going through a darkly karmic and deeply mysterious time. A the progressed Moon is full in Aquarius. Before then the national chart undergoes the experience of a transitting Pluto conjunct Natal Mercury in 2002 and 2003. This is the first time for this transit in the 1801 chart. Major irrecovable transformations may be encountered by the 'nation' around these dates.
