Tony Blair will step down from his UK Prime Minister office in 2007. The astrological influences in operation on Tony in 2007 are indicative of a somewhat easier time for him than in recent years, once some incidental turbulence is overcome during the early weeks of 2007. His progressed Moon starts the year void of course in late Capricorn. This waning Moon enters Aquarius on Jan 14th 2007 and immediately opposes his progressed Mercury on March 20th 2007. The Moon then applies in favourable aspects for the rest of 2007, trining progressed Jupiter on 13th Nov. 2007 and progressed Saturn in June. 2008. Progressed Venus is squaring progressed Pluto at the start of 2007, there is some personal disappointment or sorrow to be encountered here, but this influence then slowly passes.
Saturn is by transit conjunct Tony's natal Saturn in September 2006, Feb. 21st 2007 and June 15th 2007, this aspect can be regarded as the astrological signature of his standing down.
Uranus sextiles both his natal Sun and trines his natal MC during 2007. This is a source of real inspiration and positive change for him. The major transit in operation over both 2006 and 2007 is Pluto trine his natal Mercury. As I said last year, this positive influence will oversee a transformation in Blair's life involving communication (writing, broadcasting, travel). This influence actually started in February 2006, hit again on Dec. 14th 2006 and injects further astrological influence around 19th Aug. 2007 and 25th September 2007.
Although the astrological factors swing mainly to the positive for the UK prime minister, it must be mentioned that the long and powerful Total Lunar Eclipse on Aug. 28th 2007 is positioned in a difficult mannerfor Tony Blair being square both his natal Mars and Ascendant.

Blair's progressed Moon is now waning, the pinnacle of his influence and power on the world stage will now diminish. In 2006 his progressed Moon forms a T-square pattern with Uranus and Neptune in his chart. The influence of this arrangement may well speed up the inevitable breakdown and dissolution of his role. Jupiter opposes his natal Sun in January, April and September. Challenges to his ambitions appear inevitable at these times and oppose his natural Taurean instinct to persist as long as possible.
Saturn opposes his natal Moon on July 11th (some big wrangle with Gordon Brown may occur that month). Saturn goes on to square his natal Sun on 11th August before starting to apply in conjunction with natal Pluto on September 25th, June 15th 2007 and finally 25th Sept. 2007. This 'generational' aspect may well symbolise the end of his power. The year ends with Jupiter, newly arrived in Sagittarius, opposing natal Mars on Dec. 9th 2006.
Despite these rather difficult trends in 2006, Blair is blessed with a series of Pluto trine Mercury aspects over the next two years . It seems obvious to suggest that this positive influence will oversee a transformation in Blair's life involving communication (writing, broadcasting, travel). This influence actually starts in February 2006 and lasts well beyond 2007.

Tony Blair will experience his progressed Full Moon in April 2005. This Full Moon occurs in Capricorn opposite his progressed Mars in Cancer, and it represents a difficult 'high water point' in the 28 year cycle of his progressed Moon. He has gone as far as he can on the current road. The pinnacle of achievement has been reached. This is the second progressed Moon in his lifetime. From April 10th 2005 we may witness a change in the persona of the UK prime minister as his life forces begin to turn inward and backward. His long term future may well be one of reflection and review. The climax of his influence on world events is now upon us. With Neptune squaring his natal Sun, the most important and dominant planetary transit in the year ahead, (peaking May 04, Feb. 05, Sept. 05 and Dec.. 05), during this time we may continue to watch a man floundering under a massive wave of confusion and self undoing.
All of this is not to say he will not secure his third term in office as prime minister. Still riding on the crest of this high tide wave, he may well carry on in power and premiership for some time to come, but the edge to his personal energy will have gone. Before him is the inevitable waning of his progressed Moon and the associated retrospective and introspective journeying.
Following his progressed Full Moon in April 2005 the Moon continues to be 'besieged' in Capricorn by opposing progressed Mars in July 2005, and opposing Uranus in March 2006, and squaring progressed Saturn and Neptune in May 2006. From this time his Moon is void of course before entering Aquarius in January 2007. Even then the Moon is opposite progressed Mercury. 'A tough old time of it all' is the astrological prediction.

Tony Blair has a progressed Full Moon in April 2005 in the sign Capricorn, opposite progressed Mars in Cancer. This lunation symbolises a 'high water' time in his lifetime, a climax of power and purpose, and the start of a decline to a more introspective future.
As 2004 starts this progressed gibbous Moon is in Sagittarius, she makes sextile aspects to Saturn and to Neptune in March 2004, and a fiery trine aspect to Pluto in April. The bloated Moon is then void of course from April 9th 2004 to the 23rd Nov. 2004 when she enters Capricorn. It is during this 'void' period that we may well witness, from a distance, a period of wavering and indecision regarding the illusive 'third term' of primeministeral power.
The year begins with Tony Blair in the second Gulf War's aftermath. The war was conducted with Tony's progressed Moon in swashbuckling Sagittarius. There have been concerns during the dying weeks of 2003 about Tony's health. These have coincide with Neptune transiting his natal Moon. That influence is now over.
Transiting Uranus in early Pisces will square Tony Blair's natal Mars and Ascendant three times, March 2004, Aug.. to Oct. 2004, and finally Dec.. 2004/Jan 2005. These are times when we can expect to see some manifestation of 'sudden actions and their consequences'., Tony would be well advised to take extra care during these periods.
Saturn squares natal Venus in June, a difficult time, and natal Mercury in October and December 2004. Neptune will square Tony Blair's natal Sun in May 2004, Feb. 2005, and finally during the second part of 2005.
Will we see something at work that is hard to pin down here? Will Neptune 'bring' more glamour, spin, bad press, uncertainty and dare I say, deception? What is certain is that the tides of life are high for Tony Blair. We can expect 'climatic' events.

Tony's progressed Moon continues to wax in Sagittarius. His life story and destiny are reaching a crescendo. His next progressed Full Moon is in 2005. We can envisage this as the date of both the height and the beginning of the end of this man's power and role as British Prime Minister. As the Moon builds towards this climax in 2005 she entered Sagittarius in late August 2002, heralding a period of further expansion and influence on the world stage.
During 2003 the major planetary transit to affect Tony's astrological chart is a conjunction of Neptune with his natal Moon. This occurs on Feb. 21st, Aug.. 15th, and Dec.. 25th 2003. This once in a lifetime transit will, if it lives up to its astrological symbolism, affect Tony in a powerful yet subtle manner. We may well observe a peculiar shading to the events in store for this man. Emotions may well be accentuated. There is a potential for self-undoing, a tendency to misjudge signals and at worse an intoxication with his own destiny. Jupiter will oppose his natal Moon in late September and his progressed waxing Sagittarian Moon will itself oppose his progressed Jupiter in late June. This 'double whammy' of the Moon Jupiter mixture may well deepen a propensity to misjudge. A year of great power and possibly great mistakes is indicated here.
The New Moon on Feb. 1st 2003 is also conjunct Tony's natal Moon. The total lunar eclipse on Nov. 8th 2003 is conjunct his natal Sun. These are critical times in the year ahead for him.

His progressed Moon squares progressed Pluto in December 2001, this appears to coincide with the current (DECEMBER 2001) affair involving media attempts to penetrate his family's medical history particularly the use or otherwise of the 'MMR' vaccine on his young Son. From the New Year (2002) the progressed Moon applies to a watery trine aspect with progressed Mercury, exact in June 2002 before becoming void of course till 30th August 2002. From this date she applies for twelve months to an opposition to progressed Jupiter. This man's year therefore can be viewed in three parts. The first period Jan to June has an underlying positive flavor. The Lunar Eclipse on May 26th 2002 is conjunct Tony's natal descendant. There follows a brief two month period of the Void of course Moon, symbolizing indecision and ill-defined focus . The third part of the year as the Moon sails through Sagittarius may be viewed as sharper and more focused, possibly the most difficult period of the year.
The next major planetary aspect in Tony's chart is Neptune conjunct Tony's Aquarian Moon in 2003. This will be a most interesting aspect to observe.
2002 sees the completion of the current Pluto fiery trine natal Venus aspect. This transit has coincided with a great surge in the international standing of this man. We can expect further international recognition. This is the major transit of 2002 accompanied by transiting Uranus and Saturn (mutually trine in air signs) sextiling Tony's natal Mercury. This is an excellent configuration suggesting great purpose and ingenuity throughout the year. 2002 then can be seen to be a gentler forerunner to the more powerful Neptune Moon conjunction in 2003. The Lunar Eclipse on November 20th is conjunct his natal Jupiter.
The New Moon on Jan 23rd 2002 is conjunct his natal MC, a Career advancement is indicated.
The New Moon on July 10th is conjunct his natal Uranus, suprising twists and turns in fortunes may be apparent at that time.
The Full Moon on October 21st 2002 is closely conjunct his natal Mercury. This may well correspond to a personal challenge.
On the it seems to be astrologically a good year for Tony with the reservation that the planetary influence at work in 2003 may well be very peculiar and unfathomable.
UK GENERAL ELECTION 2001.
Tony Blair's planetary transits right now (SPRING 2001) indicate a building up to a series of powerful planetary hits to his chart. April 14th see the first heavy weight Saturn transit conjunct Blair's natal Jupiter. Saturn conjuncts his Natal Mars on May 18th 2001.
The UK press suggests that June 7th 2001 will be announced as the chosen day for UK elections.
The Daze now considers the day for elections in respect of the Natal astrological charts of Tony Blair and William Hague. The astrological perspective is very clear. Blair undergoes a series of very hard Saturn aspects in the second part of May 2001 and then is treated to a series of easier Jupiter aspects on 7th and 9th of June. Hague's June predictions all involve Saturn transits. On June 8th at 03-02 GMT Venus squares Hague's natal Moon, an indication of disappointment. Blair wins whichever dates is chosen. The real significant time from the astrological view is that period between 18th May and 29th May when Saturn conjuncts Blair's Mars, and Ascendant in quick succession. Very serious tests of strength are on the cards for Blair in late May, but the encounter with Saturn transits is brief and quickly passes onto more expansive outcomes.
The year 2000........(written 25th Dec.. 1999)
An interesting year in store for Tony Blair, British Prime Minister. His progressed Sun is now in Cancer for the next thirty years and his progressed waxing moon is in late Libra , void of course until April 2000 when it enters Scorpio, as the same time (within three days as the progressed moon of the United Kingdom (1801 chart) also enters the same sign. We can expect to see an even more emotional and earnest demonstration of Tony's beliefs and policies. We can also expect to see him in tune with the general mood of the British people. IT APPEARS (AUTUMN 2000) THAT SINCE THE INGRESS OF HIS PROGRESSED MOON INTO SCORPIO, QUITE THE OPPOSITE TO WHAT I WROTE ABOVE HAS OCCURRED. HE NOW SEEMS TO BE IN THE MIDST OF A BATTLEFIELD OF WANING POPULARITY WITH THE BRITISH PEOPLE.
The year starts with a brief difficult period for Tony as Saturn conjuncts his Sun. There are indications of a suprising development within the UK in the new year to which Tony will have to respond. THIS COINCIDED WITH THE SUSPENSION OF THE PEACE PROCESS IN NORTHERN IRELAND. The partial solar eclipse in February at sixteen degrees Aquarius is conjunct the UK's Venus and pretty close to Tony's moon. The planet Uranus was passing over this aquarian moon when the news of the fourth Blair baby was announced in 1999. The baby is due in May 2000.
During the year the major progressed aspects for Tony involve his progressed Venus conjunct his natal Sun and sextile his Uranus. Are these the indications of a female influence, a baby girl perhaps, or a new feminine influence in the political arena?
The year starts hard for him but after mid April he will find greater satisfaction. Jupiter at this time begins to align itself to his planetary stellium of his Jupiter, Mars and Ascendant. Watch Tony very carefully at the end of March when Saturn will be exactly conjunct his natal Sun in Taurus. A major test of strength can be expected at that time. The test is brief but severe. Jupiter occupies the same degree of celestial longitude at the end of April, this is a time of personal growth for Tony. As the two gas giants Jupiter and Saturn approach conjunction at the end of May they also begin to hit in succession his Jupiter, Mars and Ascendant over a period which for Jupiter centres on July 2000 and for Saturn lasts way into 2001. July 2000 is very important for both Tony and the UK. The eclipses that month hit the UK (1801) chart quite strongly and at the same time Jupiter is right over the most sensitive points in Prime Minister Blair's natal chart. With his progressed Moon trine progressed Mars at that time we can imagine Tony having the energy and impetus to manage the situation with adeptness, but the indications are that profound events and changes will take place or at least originate from this time. After these heady events of the summer, astrologically the Autumn is a quieter time for the PM. Saturn retrogrades over his Jupiter at the end of October and at the same time Pluto sextiles his Moon a special blend of civil statesmanship and personal private transformation! (The hallmark of his whole year.) Progressed Venus is sextile natal Uranus and conjunct natal Sun at this time, a definite female influence at work here. The year ends with Jupiter once again conjunct his Mars. To conclude, the Year 2000 is a spectacular year for the Prime Minister, (after a testy start). 2001 could be the election year. Saturn is active in the first half of the year on Tony's chart, an austere influence at times, but the Autumn of 2001 would be a good time astrologically for Tony to begin a second term.
